The GED test is a series of four subject tests in math, science, social studies and language arts a person can take to demonstrate their high school academic knowledge. Earning a GED diploma is the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma and accepted by nearly all colleges and employers in the U.S., as well as many universities outside of the U.S.
