Wheaton Secondary is seeking a 6-12 Trade and Industry Careers teacher (1.0 FTE) for the 2024-2025 school year and beyond. The candidate should display a general background in the construction trades, woodworking, metal work, drafting, manufacturing, small engine repair, home electrical wiring and the computer technology used in programming machines and 3D printers used in the shop facilities. Some classes currently scheduled to be taught for the upcoming school year are: Beginning and Advanced Woodworking, Beginning and Advanced Metalworking, Construction, Manufacturing, Architectural Drafting, Energy and Power, as well as introductory quarter classes with students in grades 6-9.
A valid MN teaching license required. Out of field permissions may be available for areas not licensed. Send your resume, letter of interest, copy of your teaching license, college transcripts, 3 letters of recommendation, and a completed application which is available on our district website.
Salary/Benefits: According to the master contract. Hiring incentives may be available.
